SAILING INFO

We sail from mid-April until the end of the autumn holidays, 7 days a week from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, when our flag is flying. There are three boarding points in the harbor:

At the Badhuus at the end of the floating jetty
Sas-jetty
South pier jetty

The Badhuus, with its public toilet and shower facilities, is a distinctive building centrally located on the Nieuw Willemshaven quay. Its height of 1234 centimeters commemorates the year Harlingen was founded. The viewing platform atop the Badhuus offers a unique view of the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site every day. The walkway from the floating jetty leads to the Jonge Seun jetty.

The Sas jetty is located at the Sas bridge, which connects the Waddenpromenade with the Nieuwe Willemshaven harbor and is close to the Leeuwarden-Harlingen train terminus.

You can also board the ferry at the Sas jetty with a wheelchair. We are always available to assist you with your transport.

The South pier begins at the Westerzeedijk and is located between Harlingen Beach and the Nieuwe Willemshaven. The Jonge Seun jetty is located approximately halfway along the pier.

Click on one of the images to quickly and easily find your way to your chosen boarding point in the harbor using Google Maps.

When the flag is flying at the boarding points, we sail with a maximum of 12 passengers at a time. The skippers are happy to tell you about the ships and buildings on display and share their knowledge of the harbor’s history.

Outside opening hours, the flag is lowered, as is the case when the wind is strong. A tour of the harbor takes about 20 minutes and costs €3 per person, payable on board in cash or by card. Special rates apply for groups.  Mail us about this.

SEASON TICKETS

And for those who want to cross regularly or enjoy being on the water often, season tickets are available for €30 each. A season ticket is valid for one year. Season tickets can be ordered on board or by  mail.

PARKING

There are several parking locations in Harlingen. The covered parking garage of the Waddenpromenade is located near the SAS jetty. Free parking is available along the Westerzeedijk, from where you can walk across the dike directly to the Zuiderpier. For information about parking in and around the city center, click on city parking.
